the league of extra-oddball aeronauts

The League of Extra-oddball Aeronauts is where you can play oddball Aeronauts online using Google+ hangouts, Skype, Facetime, ooVoo or any similar video call facility. Members play matches against each other with the chance to win a Prize Card every month.

How Does It Work?

Anyone can join – all you need is either a Facebook, Google+, or Twitter account…oh, and a video call facility.

Casual Games

You can play casual games anytime – games that don’t count towards the League.

You can play ‘Matches’ which are games that count towards your League standing.

You only need to play 3 Matches in a month to be in with a chance to win a Prize Card – each of the 3 Matches must be played against a different opponent.

So you can join anytime and even if there’s only a day left until the end of the month, if you get 3 Matches played that day you’re still in with a shot of winning!

Only the first 3 Matches you play in a month will count towards your League standing in that month.

Playing Matches

A Match consists of 2 games against the same opponent. For each game you must choose a different Faction. Currently the Pendragon and the Pirates are the available factions so you must play 1 game using the Pendragon and 1 using the Pirates.

You score points for each game in the Match – 3 points for a Win, 1 point for a Draw, 0 points for a Loss.

If you Win a game, count up the number of cards you have remaining and make a note of this. This is your Winning Card Count.

At the end of the Match you send in your details – see below for how to do this – and this will determine your League standing.

At the end of the month, the player with the most points wins a Prize Card. If there’s a draw, then the player with the highest total Winning Card Count wins a Prize Card. If there’s still a draw then this may have to be decided by Rock, Paper, Scissor!

oddball Etiquette

The League of Extra-oddball Aeronauts has been set up purely for fun. Maverick Muse reserves the right to change any rules at any time and expects all members to conduct themselves in the spirit in which the league has been created – have fun, but have fun respectfully and honestly!

Organising a Game

When you want a casual game or a Match, then either post to the Facebook or Google+ group/community or send out a tweet that includes @loeoa and #loeoa.

If you just want a casual game, ask if anyone is available to play a ‘Game’ of oddball Aeronauts.

If you want a Match, ask if anyone is available to play a ‘Match’ of oddball Aeronauts.

If you know you’re going to be available at a certain day and time then include that in your post/tweet – give the date, time and your time zone or your city and country.

Once you have an opponent, you can then decide whether to use Google hangouts, Skype, Facetime, ooVoo, or another video call facility.

Sending In Results

Both players in the Match must post the results as follows –

If you’re a member of the Facebook group or Google+ community then post your result to the group/community.

If you’re on twitter, send a tweet with the result to @loeoa and include #loeoa

Remember to note who won each game and their Winning Card Count. Or state how many games were drawn.

And screen captures of the game/match in progress would be great to see!
